This Privacy Policy explains how Scaleworks Studio (Scaleworks LLC) ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the ScriptureGuessr iOS app (the "App").

1. Information we collect

A. Account and sign-in information

• We use Clerk to authenticate users.
• We receive an account identifier and any information you choose to share (name, email, profile image).
• If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple provides a unique identifier and, depending on your settings, your name and email address (or an Apple relay address if you use Hide My Email).

B. Gameplay and app data

• Scores, stats, streaks, preferences, and settings.
• Multiplayer data such as your display name, room participation, and game results visible to other participants.

C. Log and device information

• IP address and basic device/app information (device type, OS version, app version, timestamps).
• Used for security, fraud prevention, rate limiting, and service reliability.

We do not use third-party analytics or crash reporting tools in the iOS app.

2. How we use information

• Provide and operate the App and its features.
• Authenticate users and manage accounts.
• Enable multiplayer gameplay and leaderboards.
• Save and sync progress and preferences.
• Detect, prevent, and address security or technical issues.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell personal information.

• Service providers such as Clerk (authentication) and Vercel (hosting and logs).
• Real-time infrastructure providers that support multiplayer features.
• Other players in the same multiplayer room (display name and game results).
• Legal or regulatory authorities if required by law.

4. Data retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active.
• Log data (including IP addresses) is retained as needed for security and operations, consistent with our providers' policies.
• You can request deletion of your account data by contacting us.

5. Your choices and rights

• You can request access, correction, or deletion of your account data by contacting us.
• You can revoke Sign in with Apple at any time in your Apple ID settings.
• Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights under local law.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. International transfers

If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions with different data protection laws.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date when changes are made.

Overview

StrideMix is a running cadence app developed by Scaleworks LLC. It plays a metronome beat in the background so it blends with whatever audio you're already listening to — music, podcasts, YouTube, phone calls, and more.

Data we do not collect

StrideMix does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. Specifically, the app does not collect:

• Your name, email address, or contact information
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Health or fitness data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or crash reports
• Audio, microphone, or media library access

How the app works

StrideMix functions entirely on your device. Your BPM settings are stored locally using standard iOS system storage and are never transmitted off your device. No account creation or sign-in is required.

The app uses iOS background audio APIs to play the metronome sound while other audio is active. This is a standard iOS system capability and does not involve any data collection.

Third-party services

StrideMix does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. The app makes no network requests.

Apple may collect certain diagnostic and usage data as part of the iOS platform, subject to your device's privacy settings and Apple's own privacy policy. Scaleworks LLC has no access to or control over that data.

Children's privacy

StrideMix does not collect data from users of any age. The app is safe for use by children as it contains no data collection, accounts, or network connectivity.

Changes to this policy

If we ever update this policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Given that the app collects no data, significant changes are unlikely.

The essentials

• No sign-in required. You can use the app without creating an account. Team Overlays use a pseudonymous service session when you choose to share.
• Local storage. Saved waypoints, overlays, tracks, and offline maps are stored on your device. Android uses an encrypted database with an Android Keystore-protected key; iOS uses its private store with complete file protection.
• Optional analytics. Anonymous usage analytics and crash diagnostics are off by default. They start only if you opt in, and you can turn them off in Settings.
• No ads. The app does not use an advertising SDK or advertising identifier.

Location and field data

The app uses your device location to show your position, calculate a grid reference, navigate, and record tracks or waypoints. Location is normally processed on your device. If you enable background tracking, the app may access location while it is in the background. You can revoke location permission in your device settings.

When you view an online map or download an offline region, the selected map provider receives tile requests that can reveal the area you view. Imported MBTiles and saved offline maps reduce these requests. When you export or share a file, the recipient you choose receives its contents.

Optional sharing and networking

If you create or join a Team Overlay, encrypted overlay content is stored through Supabase and delivered to people with the invite. Its contents are end-to-end encrypted: Scaleworks and Supabase do not have the content key. The service can process routing metadata such as a pseudonymous session ID, share ID, timestamps, and network address. If you separately enable live location for a team, your precise position is encrypted and shared with that team for a short period. You can stop sharing in the app.

If you turn on TAK/CoT networking and connect to a server or local mesh, your precise location, callsign, device identifier, and device details are sent to other participants only when you separately enable position broadcast. TAK/CoT is a separate channel from Team Overlays and is not end-to-end encrypted by Ten Digit. A server connection can use TLS when configured; local mesh traffic is not encrypted by the app.

The Wear OS companion exchanges grid, navigation, and waypoint information with the paired Android phone through the Wearable Data Layer. It does not require a separate Ten Digit account.

Optional analytics and diagnostics

If you opt in, PostHog receives limited feature-use events, app version, and a random install identifier. Crash diagnostics can include the exception type and app code path. On iOS, purchase events and Apple Ads attribution may also be recorded when available. Analytics never include coordinates, waypoint names, notes, imported file contents, search text, or map imagery. Screen recording and automatic interaction capture are off. PostHog may process network information needed to deliver events; location enrichment is disabled. See PostHog's privacy policy.

Retention and your controls

• Delete local field data in the app or clear the app's storage on your device.
• Leave or delete a Team Overlay in the app; other participants may retain their copies.
• Turn off live location, TAK position broadcast, or anonymous analytics at any time.
• Use offline maps when you do not want online tile requests.
• Contact andrew@scaleworks.studio with a data question.

Service records and opt-in analytics are retained according to the providers' settings and applicable requirements. We do not sell personal data.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above.
